- Smarties - part of the despicable Nestle group, production of smarties was shifted to Germany with the great city of York losing 880 jobs.
- HP- Moved production to Holland leaving 125 Birmingham staff out of work.
- Cadbury's - putting 700 English workers on the scrapheap with work going to Poland.
